Current Involvement

Housing Non-Profit Advisory Committees

ReImagina was invited to be part of the Puerto Rico Department of Housing Non-Profit Advisory Committee and HUD’s Housing Non-Profit Advisory Committee to provide advice during the CDBG-DR funding processes.

Housing Work Group

ReImagina is collaborating with Habitat for Humanity, the UPR Law School and Enterprise Community Partners on a partnership geared toward tenure security within the scope of affordable housing.

Multi-sector Integrated Watershed Management Planning Group

ReImagina participates actively in a multi-sector group organized by the FEMA Community Planning Capacity Building team. The group facilitates information sharing and communication among municipalities and stakeholders, and seeks to promote integrated watershed planning, projects and mitigation opportunities.

Past Involvement

PR Senate's Energy Technical Advisory Committee

ReImagina formed part of the PR Senate’s Energy Technical Advisory Committee to develop the new PR Energy Public Policy and Regulatory Framework. The committee worked regularly between May and October of 2018, and published a report that set the basis and framework for the new energy public policy and regulatory framework legislation presented in Senate Bill 1121 on November 2018 and enacted into law on April 11, 2019.

SSEB Blue Ribbon Task Force for Puerto Rico's Energy Transformation

On 2018, ReImagina was a participated in the Southern States Energy Board’s Blue Ribbon Task Force for Puerto Rico’s Energy Transformation. This task force developed a set of recommendations to influence the development of the new PR energy regulatory framework.

PR Reconstruction Conferences and Forums

Since May 2018, ReImagina has actively participated in more than 15 panels and presentations at various seminars, workshops and summits related to the reconstruction of Puerto Rico. Some of these include: PR Healthy Homes/ Housing/Buildings’ Initiative Worforce Development Work Sessions; UMASS Climate Adaptation Forum in Boston, MA; PR Science Trust’s Caribbean Strong: Building Resilience with Equity Summit; and CNE’s Black Start: Future of Energy Summit.
